About the geared trolley

A geared trolley runs on the bottom flange of an I-beam and carries a chain pulley block or electric hoist. It has its own hand chain. Pulling that chain turns a gear that drives the wheels, so the trolley moves along the beam steadily and under control.

That control is why people pick a geared trolley over a push pull one. With a heavy load or a high beam, pushing the load to move it is hard work and the load can swing. With a geared trolley the operator stands to one side, pulls the chain and places the load exactly where it is needed.

We sell geared trolleys in 1, 2 and 3 ton, listed for 3 m lift. The 1 ton and 3 ton adjust to beam flange widths of 75 to 125 mm, and the 2 ton to 75 to 150 mm. Match the trolley to the chain pulley block it will carry, and check your beam's flange width against these ranges. Workshops, tool rooms, pump houses and maintenance bays across Bengaluru and South India use them on a single fixed girder over a machine or bay.

Geared Trolley: common questions

Should I buy a geared trolley or a push pull trolley?

Choose geared for heavy loads, high beams or where you need to place the load exactly. Push pull is fine for lighter loads at low height.

Will it fit my beam?

The 1 ton and 3 ton adjust to beam flange widths of 75 to 125 mm, and the 2 ton to 75 to 150 mm. If your beam is outside that range, send the size on WhatsApp and we will check what fits.

Can I use it with an electric chain hoist?

Yes, as long as the trolley capacity is equal to or above the hoist's. For long runs or frequent travel, an electric trolley may suit better.

What capacities do you sell?

1, 2 and 3 ton.
