Beam Trolleys for I-Beams: Geared, Push Pull and Electric

A beam trolley runs on the bottom flange of an I-beam and carries a hoist along it, so you can lift a load in one spot and set it down in another. With a chain pulley block or electric hoist hanging from it, a single girder becomes a simple overhead crane for a workshop, pump house or godown.

Beam Trolleys we supply

About beam trolleys

We sell three kinds. A push pull trolley, in 1 and 2 ton, moves when you push the load. A geared trolley, in 1, 2 and 3 ton, adjusts to beam flange widths of 75 to 125 mm (75 to 150 mm on the 2 ton) and moves when you pull its hand chain, which gives better control with heavier loads and high beams. The heavy duty electric trolley runs on a motor and comes in 500 kg to 10 ton, with each model matched to an I-beam size from 150 × 75 up to 350 × 150.

Send us your beam size, the load and how far it has to travel on WhatsApp, and we will suggest a trolley and send today's price.

Buying tips

  • Measure your I-beam before ordering, because the trolley has to match the beam.
  • Keep the trolley capacity equal to or above the hoist that will hang from it.
  • Use a push pull trolley for light loads at low height, and a geared trolley when the load is heavy or the beam is high.
  • Go electric when the hoist is electric too, or when the trolley covers long runs many times a day.
  • Fit end stops on the beam so the trolley cannot run off the end.

Beam Trolleys: common questions

Which I-beam sizes do your electric trolleys fit?

The 500 kg and 1000 kg models fit 150 × 75, the 2000 kg fits 200 × 100, the 3000 kg fits 250 × 125, the 5000 kg fits 300 × 150 and the 10 ton fits 350 × 150.

What is the difference between a geared trolley and a push pull trolley?

A push pull trolley moves when you push the load by hand. A geared trolley has a hand chain that drives its wheels, so it is easier to control with heavy loads or a high beam.

Can I use a trolley with a chain pulley block?

Yes, that is the most common pairing. Keep the trolley capacity equal to or above the chain block's.

How do I get a price for a trolley?

Send the capacity and your beam size on WhatsApp and we will reply with today's price.
