Cable Pullers and Skid Rollers for Shifting Heavy Loads

Machine shifting and erection jobs often mean moving a heavy load across the floor at ground level. A cable puller and a set of skid rollers handle most of that work without a crane.

Pulling & Moving Equipment we supply

About pulling & moving equipment

Our cable pullers are hand-operated wire rope pullers in 1, 2, 3 and 4 ton. You anchor one end, hook the other to the load and work the handle to pull or tension. Electricians use them to pull cable, fabricators to straighten and tension, and riggers to drag machines into position.

Skid rollers, also called machinery skates, come in 6, 8, 12 and 15 ton. Raise the machine with a jack, set the rollers under it and push or pull it to its new place. Shifting a press, lathe or DG set inside a factory in Peenya or Bommasandra is a typical job for them. Send the weight of the job on WhatsApp for today's price.

Buying tips

  • Choose a cable puller rated above the pulling force needed, and anchor it to a point stronger than the load.
  • Use cable pullers for pulling and tensioning, and a hoist for overhead lifting.
  • Use skid rollers as a set and keep their combined capacity well above the machine weight.
  • Check the floor path first, because skid rollers need a hard, level, clean surface.

Pulling & Moving Equipment: common questions

What is a cable puller used for?

It is a hand-operated puller for pulling and tensioning: dragging machines, pulling cables, straightening structures and tightening stays.

Can I lift with a cable puller?

We recommend a chain pulley block or lever hoist for overhead lifting. Cable pullers are meant for pulling and tensioning.

How many skid rollers do I need?

Most jobs use a set of rollers under the machine, so the combined capacity should be well above the machine weight. Tell us the weight and base size and we will suggest a set.

Do skid rollers work on rough floors?

They run best on a hard, level, clean floor. Cracks, slopes and loose material can stop a roller or let the load shift, so lay steel plates over bad patches.
