About the 12 ton webbing sling (orange, 300 mm)

The 12 ton orange sling is the heaviest in our range, 300 mm wide. It is used for very heavy machinery, plant erection and crane lifts where a 10 ton sling leaves too little margin. It shares the orange colour with the 10 ton sling, so the label is the only sure way to tell them apart.

We sell it in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 m lengths. The orange colour follows the international colour code for 12 ton and above, so the rating is easy to recognise across a site, and the label carries the working load.

The 12 ton rating applies to a straight vertical lift. A choke hitch reduces the capacity, and with two legs the capacity depends on the angle between them. Never knot a webbing sling, pad it on sharp edges, and retire it if it is cut, burnt or has lost its label. Send the load and length on WhatsApp for today's price.

Features

  • Rated 12 ton for a straight vertical lift
  • 300 mm width
  • Orange colour code
  • Lengths: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 m
  • Flat webbing is gentle on finished surfaces

Where it's used

  • Very heavy machinery
  • Plant erection
  • Crane lifts
  • Heavy structural lifts
  • Large equipment installation

How to choose

  • Measure around or under the load and up to the hook, and choose a length long enough that the sling legs do not spread out flat.
  • A choke hitch carries less than the 12 ton straight-lift rating, so allow for the hitch you will use.
  • Never tie a knot in the sling to shorten it; buy the right length instead.
  • Since 10 ton and 12 ton slings are both orange, store them separately and check the label before rigging.

12 Ton Webbing Sling (Orange, 300 mm): common questions

What does the orange colour mean?

In the international colour code for webbing slings, orange marks 10 ton and above. Always confirm the working load on the label.

Which lengths are available?

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 m.

Can this sling lift 12 ton in a choke hitch?

No. The 12 ton rating is for a straight vertical lift, and a choke hitch reduces it. Check the label or ask us for the load chart.
